M. P. Latimer, engineer in charge
of the street paving being done and
proposed to be done In El Reno,
stated to The Ainei i. an this
morning that the item of $9s.03 con-
tained in the detailed statement
given to P. J. Devltt, a pro| erty own-

only the cost of engineering on the
block from Rogers to Penn street
on 'Evans avenue, and one-half of
Rogers and Penn streets, from Ev

But whatever may be in.-hided In
this item of $98.03 which the en-
gineer listed in his detailed state-
ment under the head of ••engineer-
ing," Mr. Devitt's complaint is on
account of the total amount which
he will b<' compelled to pu\ for pav-

25-rffoot lots, or $273.85 for each lot,

The Jourmii of Le Roy, ill., will
show:
The recent revival closed on Sun-
day night, the 18th instant, with one
at the most powerful sermons ever
preached in this county or we may
say, looking at It from our stand-
point, in the State of Illinois. The
tent was crowded with men and
women, of all ages, and the evening
was beautiful and calm, not too warm
or too cold, and the evangelist, Rev.
P. M. Fitzgerald, of Arlington. Tex
as. seemed to be at his very best
All o. his tfllks, all of bis sermons,
all of bis proceedings in this city dur-
ing the two weeks of the special
meetings, have been helpful and up-
I lifting, because lie has given the peo-
I pie the pure unadulterated gospel
truth, tipped with tin lire of Inaplra-j
tion. He is surely a spirit filled man,
and his last sermon here will long
be remembered by our people. The
audience present, Is just the kind to
treasure it up in their hearts that
sermon has made an impression that
time will not efface or fade, because
the indenture is too deeply cut with
the keen blade of the Bible in his
hands, which he so lovingly and
faithfully presents. The simplicity,
the faith and fondness with which he
handles the scriptures, and his fine
delivery, clear and ringing voice, with
the unction of Heaven In it all prov-
es that he Ik a constant visitor to the
power house.
The best w ishes of a large qum-
ber of our good people go with him
wherever he mav be led, and we
trust that he may continue right on
holding forth overflowing cup of full
salvation.
