The Tecumseh Democratic Club met at
the court huiiff Monday evening at 8:80. i
Meeting called to order by J. II.
liAUgherty temporary president, A. T.
Foster, temporary secretary.
J. II. Daugherty and J. II. Smith1
were put In nomination for permanent
president, nut declined to nerve, for the
reason that they are candidate# for office.
John A. Clark Was unuiniuously elected
president. On motion the temporary j
secretary was made permanent.
[ Short-talks were made by president |
Clark, Smith, Daugherty and Foster.
All urged the necessity o? harmony and
that the club be a democratic club and
not u factional club, and that every demo-
crat be invited to Join and that" it
j the duty of each and every democrat to
cir«>n all personal differences and put his
shoulder to the wheel and lift.
The club then adjourned to meet at the
court house on Monday evening July ic.h

was enjoyed by all who attended. The
welcome address by Jim Cloud was de-
livered before we arrived on the grounds.
