Charles Barrett of the state board
of agriculture today announced the
dates of county institutes in all the
western counties of the state with
the exception of Cimarron, Texas,
Beaver and Harper, where they will
be held laier T. M. Jeffords will
conduct these institutes.
Meanwhile the eastern portion of
the state will be organized by J. W.
Corley of Heavener, who is a mem-
ber of the board of agriculture, and
a series of institutes will be held
these counties as soon as arrange-
ments can be made.

that an order be made, authorizing
said petitioner to sell the whole, or
so much, and such part of the real
estate descried In said petition as
the Court uoall Judge necessary and
beneficial, at said eale, and it appear-
ing to tbe Court, from such petition,
that it Is necessary to sell the whole,
or some portion of such real estate,
for the purposes and reasons men-
tioned in said petition; therefore

BAR ASSOCIATION.
Oklahoma City,, Nov. 11.—The local
bar association has begun to prepare
for the entertainment of the annual
meeting of the oklahoma Bar asso-
ciation to be held in this city Jan.
4 and 5 next. President Frank Wells
has written to every district judge
in the state requesting that court
be adjourned for those two days in
order that every lawyer may attend
the meeting. The principal address
on the occasion will be made by F,
W, Lehman of St Louis, president
of the American Bar association, on
"Unnecessary Delay and Cost of Liti-
gation." Other addresses will be
made by President Frank Wells, At-
torney General C. J. West, J. R. Cot-
tingham of Guthrie, Sam K. Sullivan
of Newkirk, P. C. Simons of Enid
and D. H. Linebaugli of Atoka.
Tulsa, Okla., Nov. 11.—A real ele-
phant leading the parade was
unique feature of a celebration of the
election by republicans of the Third
congressional district In this city to-
night. Several hundred men were
in line, every man having a torch
or Roman candle, and the line of
march was a glare of fire. Speak'
ing at the Grand opera house fol-
lowed the parade, the speakers being
former Congressman Spencer Black-
burn of North Carolina, Judge A. J,
Blddison of this city and L. K. Cain
of Checotah. Congressman-elect Crea
ger was unable to be present on ac-
count of illness.
RAISE PEANUTS.
Tulsa, Okla,, Nov. 11.—R. D, Wy-
more, a prominent farmer living near
this city, experimented this year in
raising peanuts. On two acres of
land he raised, a crop of 100 bushels,
for which he will receive $200, or
an average price of $2 a bushel. This
Is the first experiment ever made in
this section of Oklahoma In raising
peanuts, but it has been demon-
strated that the soil is adapted to
this crop as well as tobacco, which
is now being grown successfully in
the Arkansas valley.

guilty of immorality charges by
committee selected to investigate, the
Rev. R. I, Thurston, formerly pas-
tor of the M. E. church, south, at
Pauls Valley, was suspended for one
year by the decision of the commit-
tee at the annual conference of the
M. E. church, south. The minister
is attending the conference. His
wife is also here. When the decision
of the eommittee was announced she
broknc down and wept. Rev. Mr.
Thurston says he is not guilty.
