DEMOCRAT TICKET.
Delegate to Congreas.
HON. JOSEPH WISBV.
Democratic Countu Convention.
A Democratic County Convention
is hereby called to meet at the court
house in the city of Kingfisher, at i
o'clock p. m. on Saturday, Septein-
ber 22, 1S94, for the purpose of
nominating candidates for county
offices, to be voted for at the No-
vember election, for Kingfisher
county, and to select a new Demo-
cratic county executive committee.
The apportionment by townships
and cities is as follows :
A QUESTION,
Wonder if the republicans will
nominate any colored candidates at
the convention, in order to get their
vote? Answer.—They did before,
1 lie colored men havn't forgotten it
yet, either.

SOMETHING VERY ROTTEN.
Admire, of the Free Press has sent
out circulars to the republican can-
didates for office in the county ask-
ing them to pledge themselves to
keep in line with the old party should
they be defeated at the county con
vention, \\ hat does this mean? We
have it now: "It is not th** proper
thing to buy the delegates in the
convention, and when it is done,
there is going to be trouble." \dmire
and his gang wants to run the poli-
tics of this county under a republi-
can head, and should the)- work
their scheme it will be so rotten that
it would even make the strongest
republican in the county ashamed to
think that he had to vote with such a
clique. He has sent out circulars
asking those to Keep in line who arc
defeated.

In parts of the county peti
