Rules Of The Piano Contest.
1—Announcement.—This piano oo
test will be conducted on strictly
honest and business principles with
perfect justice to all concerned. Under
such conditions a piano contest is sure
t« prove a success.
2—Prizes—The first prize shall be a
tine first class Newman Uros. piano
valued at $400. Many other valuable
prizes, some to be announced later
will be given in their order according
to class. This piano will be on dis-
play at Asher and Jacobus till the
contest closes. Call and see it. A
stool and scarf go with it.
3—Candidates— Any young lady in
Enid or Garfield county is eligible to
a place in the '-.out,est.. The most
popular young lady is the one vho
shall receive the most votes. • To her
shall be awarded the beautiful New-
man Bros, piano. Other candidates
to receive prizes in order. The second
highest girl in the contest gets the
secoud prizte, and the third highest,
gill the third and so on until all the
prizes are taken. The following pro-
vision is made for the award of the
prizes in the event of a tie: in the
event of a t ie for any prize oil'ered,
the value of the prize will be divided
equally among those tying.
4—Classes of Votes—The votes are
issued in coupons in the following de-
nominations:

Hack subscriptions ... 400 1.00
Five-year subscriptions. 5000 5.00
Ten-year subscriptions . 10000 10.00

5—General Instructions—Results of
voting will be published regularly
aft«r first few weeks.
Votes will not be allowed on sub-
scriptions at less than the regular
price.
No employee of this paper shall be
a candidate or work in favor of any
contestant.
Votes once cast cannot be trans-
ferred to another.
The publisher is not to tell whom
anyone votes for except in case of al-
leged error or irregularity.
Every contestant is asked to send as
soon as possible a cabinet size photo
for publication.
Make upyour mind whom you want
to vote for before coming to the office
as the editor will positively not decide
he matter for you.
Keep a list of votes turned in and
see that publisher's figures verify it.
All coupons and votes are at once
deposited in locked ballot box. The
key to ballot box shall be in posses-
sion of awarding committee during
the contest.
An awarding committee of three of
the best business men are to be ap-
pointed to makq^tinal count and dis-
tribution of prizes.
Free votes will be published in pa-
per first fifteen days of contest.
The contest will close at 4 o'clock
on Saturday, April 4. Oil the
previous Tuesday at 9 o'clock a.
