Shawnee.—Farmer Democratic
Natioual Committeeman J. R. Jacobs
jrave out the following interview to-
day in regard to the tight he is mak-
ing on the democratic nominee for
governor, N Haskell. In all he
gives sixteen reasons for attacking
Haskell who he says is not deserving
of any honors at the hands of the
^e®®crstic party and that before the
vlif rlwind campaign is over he hopes
9o convince every voter in ti.e state
9ha& Haskell is untit for governor.
Jjctfn to determined and states ttiat
he will spend every cent he possesses
to defeat Haskell.
"In fighting C. N. Haskell for gov-
ernor I do it:
"first. Hecause he is not a dem-
ocrat, and one of the first appoint-
ments that he made was that of Wal-
ter Ferguson son of Ex Governor
Ferguson, who is a republican.
"Second. Hecause he is corpora-
tion candidate.
Third. Hecause he stole his nom-
ination.
"Fourth. Because he conducted a
campaign of vindication and slander
Fifth. Because he is a lieutenant)
of the corrupt Senator Cahin S
Hrice of Ohio, well known around
Wall street as one of the smoothest
manipulators of railroad stocks in the
•oiMtry.
"Sixth. Because he has no slncer-
ty of purpose, except selfishness,
"Seventh. Because Haskell's caiu-
mgn manager, Ed O. Caasidy, bolt-
sd tlie entire democratic ticket, since
ne has lived in Shawnee and ran on
an opposing ticket after he had been
defeated in the democratic primary
for polioe judge. I charge that Has-
cell's campaign manager * * * ♦
"EHffit. fecause he betrayed thel
people 0*1 t he initiative and referen-
dum.
Ninth. Because he made false
charges against Lee Cruce and other
good democrats.
Tenth. Because he betrayed the
democratic party on the Jim Crow
law.
"Eleventh. Because he made the
constitution to be nominated on, and
after liemg declared the nominee
t/nroujjH manipulation he revised the
4i>o l.it,ution to suit the trusts.
'iflrelfth. Hecause he is a corrupt
puUttcltn.„
"Thirteenth. Because a contract
was made with W. L Chapuian, of
HeralJ and Secretary of the democrat-
ic state committee to make teu thous-
and copies of the lat« constitution for
a consideration of nine hundred
dollars. Who will pay this blllV
' Fourteenth. Because it has U>en
stated by several reputable democrats
tn&S iut told Jesse Dunn and the
Crucc committee: "You and youf
^ang can go to ti— I.
"Fifteenth. Because he is a dan-
■gerous man for governor as lie would

Corrected!
The letter of congratulatio s from
President Roosevelt-to chairman Hun-
ter, read at the committee meeting,
has been wrongly quoted. The Presi-
dent said affectionately, '-I was de-
Jijf *ed that Frank (not Frantz) was
nominated for governor.", And again,
• Wherti 1 appointed Frank (nofcj
ffbanU) governor, I did so because I
thought he was the very man w!io
won Id represent the square, decent
citizens of Oklahoma, the men that
ure to give Oklahoma the great place
Uut 1 teel it will ultimately take in
union of the states. Naturally I am
extremely pleased with the conven-
tion endorsing my action."
