A South Bend
Watch
Is an Economical IVatch
A South Bend W atch doesn't
cost you any more than any
other standard
watch. It is, how-
ev?r, made of much
finer material, by
much better work
men, than the
other watches sell-
i. mr,ing for the same
price. '
A South Bend Watch will
last twice as long and stand
twice as much wear and tear as any
other watch made and it docs not
easily get out of order. If our
repair department deixMirteil upon South
Beiul Watches for fxisint ss, we would
m'< ipluve to eliiso up the lU-parttneut. .
Hecause of the extreme cue u>e<l in its
construction and the wonderful South
Bend Balance Wheel, which adjusts the
watch to every temperature,a South Bend
\\ atch is the most accurate, as well as
the most durable watch made.
We and the makers guarantee it to be
a perfect time-keeper.
It is proof against all jolts*and jars,
railway travel, horseback riding and
automobiling. Made in all standard
-i/cs anil styles. :it all pri. &■. I.ct us shoV
them to you to-day, even if yon do not
intend to purchase k watch immediately.
Not a Bad Idea.
In speaking of newspapers* and
Circulation the Publicist had this to
say in the Saturday issue :
"The News published some state-
ments in regard to the circulation of
the three .newspapers of Chandler
which for the purposes of this arti-
cle may be assumed to be approxi-
mately correct. These purposes are
to point out the fact that advertising
rates are relatively very low, and
that, in a general way, the news-
papers here are poorly paid for the
services which they render to the
publi

that the circulation of ethe three^

"Meantime ' it is not an unusua

Chandler merchant ii\ one of th-
outside county papers. Th->re is
nothing wrong about this but suppose
it was reversed? Suppose the Pub-
licist with its extensive circulation

help them to take trade away from
Chandler?
"What s the use being accommo-
dating?* Does it pay?"
After a fellow has tusseled for a
couple of days on a big ad full of
prices and has the satisfaction of
getting about ten dollars for the
page and paying out at least four-
fifths for expenses and the other for
charity he commences to think a
little like the Publicist. Particular-
ly when he knows that his paper,
