How the former Bryan followers of

upon examination it is cloudy or milky or has

The democratic candidates and the
acephalous campaign committee had
a very warm and interesting meeting
yesterday. A meeting was thought
necessary on account of the refusal
of Bob Forrest to act as chairman
A part of the candidates were opposed
to the appointment of a special cam-
paign committee. They said that the
people had elected a central commit-
tee whoso duty It was to run the cam-
paign and that they ought to do it,
regardless of the objections of two
or three disgruntled candidates who
are fighting Joe Lowe the chairman
These candidates insisted that Jpe
Lowe and the central committee
should step aside and let the candi-
dates run their own afflairs. The
kickers succeeded in having their
way about the matter and the sub-
committee was authorized with Walt-
er Aycock as chairman and Earl
Beebe as secretary. A little sooth-
ing syrup, in the way of the assistant
secretaryship was given to John W.

tell of him. He is almost as fresh

has forgotten more politics than this
whole layout ever knew. In fact the
county never was fully taken out of
the republican column until Joe Lowe
and the major part of the present
central committee took hold of the
party and reorganized It and put it
on a winning basis. One half of the
ticket was defeated by the ballot box
