tion stores, clothing stores, dry goods
stores, music stores, second hand
stores, variety stores and all other tner-
•antile business on which 110 tax is
specially levied by the terms of this
)rdinanee. when tlie stock in trade
amounts in value lo one thousand dol-
lars or less, per quarter, three dollars.
For each additional thousand or frac-
tion thereof, fifty cents.
There is hereby levied a license tax
for the exhibiting or giving of each
show, concert, minstrel performance,
theatrical entertainment or any other
exhibition of whatever name or des
criptiun, except us herein before men
tinned, within the corporate limits of
said City, for the giving of each exhi-
bition, per day, three dollars. Pro-
vided. however, that all scientific
and literary lectures and entertain-
ments shall be exempt from such levy
as well also as concerts aiul other musi-
cal and theatrical entertainments given
exclusively by citizens of said city.
Sec. 2. All licenses provided for un-
