HAVE FIREWORKS
"Siege of Dardanelles" It Thrilling
Spectacle.
OKLAHOMA CITY. The uioit
thrilling fireworks spectacle ever pre-
sented in. Oklahoma is promised for
patrons of. the Oklahoma State Fair
and Exposition at Oklahoma City from
September 25 to October 2. The first
presentation of the spectacle will be
on the night of. September 27 at 8
o'clock lt wlll be shown every night
thereafter until the close of the fair.
The spectacle Is called "The Siege
of the Dardanelles." It Is presented
before the big concrete grandstand on
a stage 475 feet long. An Its name in-
dicates the spectacle will show the
bombardment of the Turkish fortifica-
tions at the Straits of the Dardanelles
by tho French and BritlHh navies Uur
lug the World War.
Preceding the bombardment how-
ever will be a gigantic naval spec-
tacle in which reproductions of war
vessels used In historic battles at the
straits by the Greeks Romans and
Egyptians will be shown. After this'
will be seen modern warships
dreadnauehts destroyers cruisers
submarine chasers trawlers mine
sweepers and submarines in a great
panorama as they puss before the for-
tifications. Preceding the spectacle will be
the double vaudeville program. Just
twice as large as any ever shown be-
fore at the lair. One admission ticket
entitles the bolder to all the features
of the evening entertainment In the
grandstand.

All must be driven by women but
they may take as many guests of
their own sex us their cars will hold.
Prizes will be awarded on the baai
of grace in driving beauty of attire
condition of the automobile etc. Any
make of car from the humble flivver
to the lordly $ 1 0.0U0 creation can be
entered and prizes will be awarded in
eight different classes based entirely
on the price of the car. Thus the
driver of a $1.0110 automobile has as
much chance to win as she who pilots
the Jl 0000 creation.
The judges of course will be mere
men.

bride's parents this afternoon.
Mr. Lasley is from Knot county
Texas and has considerable ranching
interest there where they will make
their home.
Mrs. l.asley is one of Carter coun-
ty's most rlficient school teachers.

lans" are leaving a city full of loyal

The judge and his wife have en-
deared themselves to all who were

home here and has been joined by
his family. He was former district

Mrs. Lambert who is a daughter of
Judtte McMillan takes un active in-
terest in politics she is un excellent
speaker and she will be u valuable
asset to the democracy of this por-
tion of the state.
