Editor Monitor:- According to
bouse bill number fonrteen, school
district levy for the support of
oommon sobools noil not exoeed
more than five mills and •> a five
mill levy will not give to the peo-
ple of Marameo an eight months
school, therefore if the people of
consolidated distriot number three
desire an eight months sobool, it
will be neeeaaary for them or some
of them to meet at Pawnee on Sat
urday, July Wtb and prev.il on
the members of the Exoise board
in session on that day, to oall an
eleotion on August 15th for the
purpose of submitting to the elec-
tors of consolidated distriot num-
ber three, tbe question of making
suoh levy. I would suggest a two
mill additional levy, that would
make our school levy for the fiscal
year seven mills whiob I think
would be sufficient.
