C. K. Hall, one of the substan-
tial farmers in Haskew vicinity,
was in Mooreland on business,
Monday. While here lie.renewed
his subscription to the Lkadek.
K. K. Stout,wife and baby were
down from ILiskew, yesterday.
They accompanied their uncle, B
B. Stout, as far as this place, on
his way to his home in Greer coun-
ty .after a ten days visit with tlu.ni.
Mr. Stout's parents also went to
Greer county on a visit.
The school board, at their meet
ing Wednesday night, hired the
following teachers for .lie Moore-
land schools for the next school
year: Myrtle Williams, of Girard
Kas., primary $55; Stella Buchan-
an, of Alva, 1 st intermediate, $55;
W. Wagoner,of Warrensburg, Mo.,
2nd intermediate, $55. The prin-
cipal has not yet been hired.

"It shall be unlawful for any pet-
son to take or catch any fish with
a net, trammel net, seine, gun, or
trap of any kind, or net, weir or
pot in any of the lakes, ponds or
rivers, or small streams in the
stale, or to have in possession any
such seine, net or appliance with
intention of violating this." Leg
itimate fishing with hook and lint:,
spear, snare or gig, or the catching
of small minnows lor bail with a
trap or seine not over ten feet in
length, or the taking of fish from
private ponds, having at no time
inlet ot outlet to any river or
j stream, is not forbidden by law.
