Vote her straight.
A vote for Hurst and Smith
means a vote for Senator Gore.
Keep this in mind when you
vote. Weleetka wants the state
penitentiary.
A few dollars judiciously
spent in this country will bring
large returns in a few years, no
better place under the sun than
here in Okfuskee County for
the laying of the foundation of
an immence fortune. The nat-
ural advantage abound on every
hand.
1/
With Hurst and Smith in the
. legislature we can and will land
the state penitentiary.
Cast your vote for the demo-
cratic nominees the 3rd and thus
discharge your duty as it perta-
ins to your self your country and
your God.
Thousands of homeseekers are
coming into this country from
every quarter of the globe.
Make it to their interest to come
this way.
School is progressing nicely,
all the teachers from the best in-
formation we can get are giving
entire satisfaction and the pupils
are starting off well. It could
hardly be otherwise with the
present faculty.
No man in public office or priv-
ate life can so conduct himself
as to escape criticism. If one
should by chance do so, fool,
would be written in box car let-
ters across his back and brest.
IN DURANCE VILE
The section forman who was
stabbed here in the streets seve-
ral days ago by an Indian has
recovered from the wound but is
now languishing in the county
jail awaiting the arrival of the
sheriff of Pittsburg, Texap, at
which place he broke jail three
years ago, there was three char-
ges of forgery against him for
which he was awaiting trial that
of breaking jail adds another
crime to his list for which ho
must answer.
Will Curtis of this city arrest-
ed him Wednesday last at this
place on his return from the hos-
pital in Missouri for which he,
Curtis, gets quice a reward.
One by one they are being
gathered in, this country doesn't
offer the hiding places it once did
forcriminals. If you are a crim
inal get up and "git." If
the citizens can help it there is
no place here for you.

The yawning door of a prison
cell is an awful thing to face at
closerange, yet some people are
never satisfied unless they are
near enough to smell the cook-
ing on the inside, that is we are
sometimes led to believe such is
the case.
The "boot legger" and the
pistol "toter" element are a
class of humanity that has
caused more trouble in this coun-
try than all other evils combined
public sentiment is being arous-
ed and that element must go or
reform.
Ba you ever so good and
loyal a democrat it will do the
party no good unless you come
to the poles November the third
