Crown Prince Alexander of Servia

important command in the Servian

serving eighteen months in the Med

Salonikl about July -5 there were

000 Servians who were brought over
from Corfu.
the formations are so different that
the owners scarcely expect to find the
Simpson sand at the same depth it
is found in the wells to the south and
to the southwest. These wells make
section IT and the Simpson sand
somewhat of a puzzle.

Section 15 and the Simpson sand
are somewhat more f a puzzle today
than they have been heretofore. The
gas well belonging to Apple Franklin.
Johnson & Gait located on the Ituby
Ingram ten acres in the southeast of
the northwest of l.'-l-.s which .daces
j it near the center of the section
j drilled through a very heavy gas sand
j at 12 feet and the drill went into
j blue fhale. Where this heavy gas
I was found is probably where the oil
should have been found. The well is
underreaniing through the cas sand
and the owners remark that they will 1 1!
' drill deeper to the "Apple & Franklin" I j
sand. In other words they will drill
'deeper to se if another oil sand can-
not be picked up. The offnet to this
well on the ea t which is located on
what is called the Hivlck 20 acres
in the .Kouthwct corner of the north-
eit quarter of the section is nt a
tkpth of 1.20'" feet. This well be'ens
to It. A. Sitnpron and his assocla' -s.
The well ha a S.-hinz job where it is
and it is r.ot improbable that it w'll
have f) be abandoned. Like U c.Tt
this well has also found a very pric
:i sand anil at its present depth ts
in that sand This well is not q-iite
