Established 1895
lleious menu were the toasts. Tborur-s
lutli.T pre; ider.t of the Junior class
was a riiof-.t gracious tor.stwaster.
W ith his characteristic ease in intra-
ducing the various toasts he proved
i.iiiis-lf a credit to the Junior class.
He fir.-t called on Melvin Coleman:
who to:..-ti-d "The Senior?" ending
with a rousing cheer for that cla-s.
In response Elizabeth Dyer graced
tl e occaelon in a most pleasing man-
ner. Then "Our School" was Pr
f'-s.-or Woodrufl's theme but what
would "Our School" b without "Iligii
j School Athletics"? Nothing. This
as can be readily guessed was Pro-
!c-.-sor Mead s subject. Supt. Rich-
ard next took the floor. A most sen-
sible talk on "After Graduation
What?" was thoroughly appreciated.
The last toast was a fitting climax (o
the evening. Judge Hefner presi-
dent of the board of education spoke.
His toast was intended to be "After
t?;e Banquet What?" but he very
genially remarked that since that
which was to have happened after the
banquet had "blown up" his toast
had been "blown up" also. He there-
fore spohe on "Woman."
Then to stir up added enthusiasm.
Mr. Mead led in some rousing yells
and Miss Peterson directed the school
songs. Everyone took part in these
and the hall echoed with the sound.
The banquet ended in a burst of
that enthusiastic school spirit which
has made for Ardmore High school a
prominent name in the educational
world.
