Well Known Remedy
Relieves Chronic Case
Important to Dispose of Waste
from the Stomach With
Regularity
People frequently attribute to failure
of the digestive orgaus conditions that
are primarily due to inactive bowels
and apply remedies that from their
very nature are more apt to aggravate
than to relieve the disorder.
When the bowels act regularly the
stomach is in better shape to perform
its allotted tasks and can usually be
depended upon. To keep the bowels in
condition there isMio more effective
remedy than the combination of simple
effective laxative herbs known as Dr.
Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin which is sold
in drug stores for fifty cents a bottle.
Dr. Caldwell has prescribed this
remedy in his practice for over a quar-
ter of a century and it is today the
standard household remedy in thou-
sands of homes. Mr. Thus. DcLoaeh
with the department of the interior
office of Indian affairs at Washing
ton wrote to Dr. Caldwell recently
that "Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin is
the best laxative I have any knowledge

OSAGES ELECT JUNE 5
Tribal Council Will Be Chosen by
Wealthy Indian Tribe.
Oklahoma City May 23. An elec-
tion of tribal council and chief will
be held by the Osages at Pawhuska

years. Two years ago the tribe choso
a council that was indorsed by the
full bloods ns against the mixed and
whites. This council and chief are
now to be retired. It is understood
that the full blood faction Is likely
to be in a minority this year. The
Osages have the most active tribal
interest remaining in Oklahoma.
Their lands and minerals make them
immensely wealthy and the control
over them is in the hands of the coun-
cil with noteworthy restrictions by
the federal government.
On June C a regular payment will
be made to the members of this tribe.
This payment is small amounting to
but $133 per capital. There is much
complaint in the Osage country over
this small quarterly payment because
the price of oil is high and the busi-
ness of oil and gas companies has
been good. Many assert that the ex-
pensive administration of tribal gov-
ernment is at fault.

WOMEN'S ARMY INVADES
GOTHAM FOR CONVENTION
New York May 23. An army of
20000 women mobilized from the
ranks of 2000000 club women in the
United States began the invasion of
Manhattan Isle today for the opening
of the 13th biennial convolution of
the Federated Women's Clubs of
America in the Seventh Regiment ar
mory tomorrow.
As the squads companies regiments
and battalions of handsomely gowned
femininity troop along the platforms
from the long trains pulling into tho
Grand Central Pennsylvania station
and Hudson Terminal from California
Florida Maine and other parts of the
country they are taken in hand by
Poy Scouts in khaki who see them
safely delivered to their appointed
places. Other scouts go around after
ward and give them Instructions about
getting here and there in New York.
Still other scouts look after their lug-
gage. Until the night of June 2 the wolnen
leaders of the nation will make this
old town hum with speeches and
squabbles and social affairs. They will
give the woKd their official opinion on
government and goulash food and
fighting marriage and millionaires ba-
bies and bathing health and hair-
dressing short skirts and short ballots
big wives and little .husbands prize
fights and tea-fights.
There has been evidence of sharp
feeling bttween city and country dele-
rates over the matter of style which
may crop up in some form during the
convention.
