of the tribe homesteads which could

New Indian Policy
Fur the first time -ince the govern-
ment assumed the guardianship of In-
dians and their property a definite
Indian policy has been announced in
Secretary Lane's declaration that tiie
purpose of tiie Indian Hun-an must lie
