Class singing: Junior classes
were called on lirst this time.
Wheeler Junior class came forward
wilh some good si In tlons which wW-;
rendered in such a way as to give
credit to any community. Next came
the (iraham Junior class with some
good selection-; v hieh they rendered
in such a way as to reflect credit on
their own community. We must say
that we are proml of our junior
classes
Next all the classes in the district
vero called upon to sing two songs
each and but three came forward.
These were Pool 'ville class Wheeler
elass and Craham class
Next general singing by the conven-
tion .ind each loader had an oppor-
tunity to sin all he wanted to sing.
Next a place for the convention to
meet agiin was In order. Two places
were :'iit in nomination Wheeler and
Poolevllle. A vote was taken which
resulted in favor of Poolevllle so our
next convention will meet with Poole-
llle class on the lirst Saturday and
Sunday before in October.
All in all. wo must say that our
convention was a success at. (iraham.
We are proud of the interest that- the
people have shown in this matter.

The following report as made by
the credential committee was duly
adopted:
"We your conimlitee on credentials
find the following classes represented
and entitled to seats in this convention
vi: Crlnervillo four delegates;
South Ardmore two delegates; Plain-
view four delegates; Wheeler four
delegates."
The minutes of the previous meet-
ing were read by the secretary and
upon proper motion was adopted ns
read.
Hie treasurer made his report and
same was accepted.
Tlie report of the committee on
constitution and by-laws for the coun
ty convention was called for but the
committee was not present.
Whereupon a motion prevailed that
we be gjoverned by the old constitu-
tion and by-laws during the meeting.
Vpon motion sume being duly sec-
onded the question as to whether ve
disband or build a tabernacle and es-
tablish a permanent meeting place
was brought up but after much dis-
cussion the mo' ion was withdrawn.
Wheeler and Hunker Hill were then
placed in nomination for the next
place of meeting but it was decided
to hold the next session at Hunker
Hill.

A motion prevailed to suspend the
further business of the meeting until
the evening session .after which the
following program of music was ren-

Ilerweck.
It then being late in the afternoon
the convention adjourned in due form
to meet again at S o'clock.
Evening Session.
The evening! session was called to
order at S:3il o'clock when the con
vention was led in song by W. K.
Robison. after which the convention
was led in prayer by the chaplain.
The following business was then
transacted :
The election of officers being next
in order same was taken up and
disposed of as fellows:
Chas. H. Davenport was re-electod
to the office of president.
W. R. Robison vas re-elected to the
of lice of vice-president.
Wm. Herweck was elected to the of
l'.ce of secretary-treasurer.
Pro. S. M. Parker was re-elected to
the office of chaplain.
Miss Bertha Higbie was elected to
the office of organist.
A statement by Mr. J. A. Carroll
regarding the next place of meeting
for the Central District Convention
was made but no one responded
nnd same was declared as being dead.
After which the question of estab-
lishing a iermanent place of meeting
for the county convention was again
brought up and discussed. Messrs.
J. R. Taliaferro and J. A. Carrod
.speaking in the affirmative and Mr.
C. D. Knutson in the negative where-
upon by motion duly adopted same
was carried in the affirmative by a
vote of 6 to 4. and the president was
instructed to see after the matter.

A motion pravailed to seat delegates

It was moved ar.d seconded that we

Moved by J. A. Carroll to resciua
the act. Carried above motion.
A motion prevailed to meet at Ard-
more August 15 to reorganize and
lecelve the report of the committee.
Upon motion duly adopted It waii
decided that the business of the con-
vention being finished that the busl-
in of the meeting; be adjourned with-
out date and we spend the balance
of the evening. In singing.
The following program was then
carried out to the great pleasure of

The president also announced the
meeting of the delegates which Is to
be held in the assembly room at the
court house Aug. 22 1911 for the
purpose of dovi.-ung means by which
the county convention may have a
permanent heme.
