Why You Should Vote for W.
Frame for County Clerk.
Because
He is competent to fill the ollice.
He is popular with all classes of
eople year in and year out.
He lias been a resident of this city
r 23 years and during the time he
as in business assisted more people
lio were in trouble than any man in
lis county without hope of reward
nd in every instance the favors grant-
I by him went to people who actually
eeded them and for that reason if
br no other he deserves the vote of
ery man in the county.
His life is an open book to the
eople whom be is asking to support
m for (his office.
He has served but one term and
asking that the citizens by their
te endorse his administration of
i county's affairs by electing him
succeed himself.
le has made good in the present
ice by working early and late and
p operated that office at about one-
f of cost to the taxpayers.
kVhat more could you ask of an

Standard Said to be Converting Prac
tically All the Crude into Gasoline
Oklahoma City Okla. July ?. Cur
rent reports to the effect that the
Standard Oil Company has been notify
ing the big users of fuel oil that they
will bo unable to renew existing con
tracts and that after Oct. 1 fuel oil
in large quantities will not be deliv-
ered bear out the belief that the
Standard has a new process that will
make gasoline out of the entire bulk
of crude oil leaving only a small per
centage of coke. For a year the plant
of the Standard at Whiting III. has
been operating under the pressure pro
cess and there has been no residue
of heavy oils.
Four years ago the problem was how
to find enough gasoline to supply the
demand. Now it is how to find a de-
mand for the flood of gasoline. When
the pressure method of extracting gas-
oline was first invented it was claimed
that double the amount of gasoline
could be secured under that process.
Now it is said that practically all the
crude can be converted Into motor
spirits.
In a recent examination In court of
Frank B. Lewis manager of the Stand-
ard's refinery at Whiting it was dis
closed that for the last year the Whit
ing plant has been making over 90 per
cent of gasoline out of mid-continent
crude.
