day evening proved a great success.
Masks of every Kind and description
were in evidence, which afforded
the masqueraders much pleasure in
trying to recognize the familiar fea-
tures hidden behind the masks. Ma-
nager's five-piece orchestra fur-
nished the music for the jolly danc-
ers and responded repeatedly to the
hearty encores. Twenty couples en-
joyed the evening's entertainment.
The Yoeman Social club will meet
Tuesday night at the Congenial
Dancing club rooms over Evans drug
store. All Yoemen are cordially
invited and urged to be pres-
ent.

The Daughters of Isabella enter-

the ladles' prize, a paper weight,

Texas will gather in San Antonio
October 9-10 for the 26th annual
,-ontest of the Texanischer Schiiet-
1 zen-Bund. Two .Kindred dollars in
| prizes and a gold medal for the in-
i dividual championship have been
I put up for the meet. The Germans
in the San Antonio country are
j enthusiastic riflemen and every
small town in this section has its
! rifle club. As a rule, the men are
splendid shots.
