Sapulpa s Sertoma Club has
received word it has been
chosen to receive one of Ser-
toma International's highest
awards at the fall district
convention, according to Frank
Henderson, president
The club will receive gold
honor status and past president
Dan Whitehouse will be
presented w ith a gold coat as a
symbol of the club's out-
standing performance
At the club's regular meeting
Wednesday. a program was
presented by Johnny Shouse.

human relations advisory
committee held an orientation
session Wednesday to review
the purpose and objectives of a
federal grant
The committee also heard an
outline of the program
scheduled, reviewed its
progress to date and was told of
the importance of member
participation.
The$104,790 grant was issued
under the Elementary-
Secondary School Act. It in-
volves in-service teacher
training. guidance and
counseling, curriculum
development, innovative in-
terracial programs and
tutorial and development
programs
Kermit Tilford, human
relations director, said its
purposes arc to aid school
children in overcoming
educational disadvantages of
minority group isolation;
reduce racial and cultural
isolation; eliminate
discriminatory practices in
school operation; reduce in-
terracial tensions; close the
achievement gap between
Bomb Threat
Call Reported
Police said today that a local
man reported receiving a
bomb threat by telephone
Wednesday evening.
The anonymous caller
threatened to blow up the
man's house, and then hung up,
police said.
A daughter of the threatened
family had been a passer-by
who stopped at the scene of the
fire which destroyed the Susan
Bush home north of town June
1$, the father reported.
The father also reported he
had signed a political ad during
the recent primary campaign.
Police said it was not known
whether either of the Instances
were related to the threatening

Firebomb Case
Charges of attempting to
damage property by use of an
incendiary device were
dropped Wednesday against
Douglas Reynolds. Ricky
Stephens, Eddie Rame and
David Hurst by order of Judge
Clyde Patrick. The youths
were charged with throwing a
flaming bottle at a building
located at 505 W. Johnson on
Nov. 27, 1973.
Vehicles Collide
Three vehicles were involved
in a collision Monday near the
intersection of Bryan and
Main, according to Sapulpa
police reports.
Police said that vehicles
driven by Susan Rains, 17, RL
2, Box 250, Mona Lou Grisham,
34, Tulsa, and Erma Perrry,
70, Bog 34, Sapulpa, were in-
volved In the collision at 11:42
am. Monday.
Miss Rains was charged with
driving under (he influence of
intoxicating drugs and driving
without a drivers license,
