SKIRTS
Effie Davis, a woman who caused
the arrest of Maud Hess in police
court a few days ago, charged with
theft of two skirts, replevined the said
skirts from the Hess woman this
morning.
A re-delivery ..frond of $40 was re-
quired to be given by the woman in
Judge Zwick's court. When the con-
stable served the papers the woman
hTcas wearing one of the skirts and he
tas in a rather embarrassing position.
Just wait a minute. I'll go with
you%tnd get the county attorney to
sign my bond," said the woman.
The officer didn't know for a min-
ute exactly what to do. He had strict
orders to get the skirts or the bond.
The woman and skirt were accompan-
ied to the county attorney's office for
bond.
"This is all a job," said the woman.
She is one of the important witnesses
for the state in the Dig Ann Dailey
