C'OrsiN IIEHAI D GOODMAN, mid ills Saddle Mountain Roundup, will
appear In person on the stage of the Yale theater Friday and Satur-
day In an all new 1945 edition of their show.
In l»39 Goodman originated the first Saddle Mountain Roundup
on radio station KVOO. From there he went to Hollywood where he
appeared in a picture.
Other outstanding perosnalitles In the show are Arthur Smith,
‘‘king of the fiddlers," winner of many national contests and cham-
pionships; Selrra Sue and Sally Simpkins, singers of comedy songs,
Charley Walker, “the singin’ Texan," described as u long, tall, rood
looking Texas who has never done anything but, sing, play the guitar
and mandolin and charm the ladles.

ORDINANCE NO. 736
An Ordinance regulaling the
wrecking a n <1 demolition of
dwellinx houses and business build-
ings in the City of Sapulpa. re-
quiring a permit therefor and fix-
ing the time of expiration of sueh
permit, requiring notier of the
completion of work and inspec-
tion of the premises, providing a
penalty for violations and de-
claring an emergency.
Be It Ordained by the City of
Sapulpa:
Section 1. Before any person,
firm or corporation shall wreck or
demolish a dwelling house or busi-
ness building In the City cf Sapulpa
n permit therefor must be obtain-
ed. Such permit shall be Issued
by the City Clerk of sueh city upon
a form to be supplied by him and
a fee of $1 shall be paid for the
Issuance of the permit.
Secilon 2. Such permit shall ex-
pire 60 days from the date of Is-
suance and no further work may be
done thereunder after such time
unless a new permit be Issued. A
permit shall be required for each
structure wrecked.
Section 3. It shall be the duty
of every person or firm wrecking
such structures to proceed with
sueh work diligently and without
unnecessary or unreasonable delays,
and such person or firm shall clean
up or remove from the premises all
trash and debris resulting from the
wrecking of the building thereon,
and upon completion of work shall
remove all lumber and building ma-
terials and leave such premises In
a clean, sanitary and safe condition.
Section 4 Upon the completion
of such wrecking or demolition of
any structure as authorized here-
under. the holder of Ihe permit
shall Immediately notify the build-
ing inspector of the City of Snpul-
pa. and such building Inspector Is
directed to make an Inspection of
the premises to determine that all
requirements of this ordinance have
been compiled with, and said build-
ing Inspector Is nu:horlzed to make
arrests for the violation of this
ordinance.
Section 5. Violation of this ordi-
nance shall be punishable by a fine
not to exceed the sum if Nineteen
& 50 loo Dollars.
Section 6. For tlve preservation of
the public peace, health and safety
an emergency Is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be
hi forre and take effect immediately
upon its passage, approval and pub-
lication as required by law.

But there is often no choice. In many
places it just isn't possible to add
more telephones until we can get
more cable, more central office
equipment, and more telephones.
And we can’t get equipment as long
as Western Electric, our peacetime
supplier, is nearly 100 per cent in
war work. Such telephone equip-
ment as is scheduled for “civilian”
manufacture this year is only a drop
in the bucket,even if sudden military
demands don’t upset the schedule.
We’re sorry... but it looks like quite
a while before everybody who now
wants telephone service will get it.
