Uvalde Leases Are Selling.
A Clood Thin:
7Vie Western Oil Derrick has acquired a block of leases in Uvalde County, Texas, aggregating 7,000 acres. Only
1,500 acres are offered for sale to aid in development.
5,500 acres will be held to be marketed next winter when the big oil companies will clamor for ihi; stuff at
prices ranging from $100 to $1,000 an acre.
Wise geologists have picked Uvalde County as the next big oil pool of South Texas. Our acreage is on the Edward
Plateau. Big companies are drilling around us. Look at the map and see what is taking place in Uvalde County. A
gusher may come in any day. When one does, then all this acreage is withdrawn from the market.
Leases run for nine years.
Follow the big companies.
Get some of the wealth which the big
companies are making.
Buy leases at these low prices and then
sit still while the big companies spend thous-
ands of dollars proving your leases.
You cannot pick a better lease investment.
There, are no better ones at the price.
The monster gasser south of the town of
Uvalde causes us to hold back 5,500 acres of
these Uvalde county leases. Only 1,500 acres
.will be sold.
Activity in Uvalde count? at this time is
keen. Benedum and Trees, one of the largest
drilling organizations in the world, is drill-
ing a well that is within easy range of the
leases offered by the Western Oil Derrick.
■ Drills are working in many parts of Uvalde
county. Perhaps in a couple of months a
few gushers in Uvalde county will put this
acreage in the millionaire class.
And—all of this acreage is not offered for
sale. We propose to keep a few thousand
acres in the firm belief that the block re-
tained will be worth a few million dollars to
us some time this summer.
This Uvalde county acreage is located on
the Edwards Platewu. It was picked bv the
same expert who selected a great block for
the Carter Oil company. If the stuff is good
enough for Carter it is good enough for the
rest of us.
The block acquired by Benedum and Trees
and the tract bought by the Roxana Petroleum
company were selected absolutely on geology.
Both blocks are on the Edwards Plateau.
Our acreage is on the same plateau and located
between the leases of the Roxana and those
of Benedum and Trees.
The Edwards Plateau has all the earmarks
of another Ranger or Cushing.
Three new locations have been recently made
In Uvalde county by tne Sublnal Petroleum Co.. Inc..
In the east central part of the county north of the
railroad town of Sa'ilnal. Geologists claim that this
Is on the tame structure on which the two Century
Co, wells and the Bell Co. well are now drilling. -
A NEW SHALLOW POOL lias been found near
Noonan, In Medina <ounty, which Joins Uvalde on
the East, and the Winkler et 1 well Is reported
to be testing five barrels dally at 4f>0 (pet An ex-
tensive drilling campaign in that section will be
started at once.
The Uvalde & Northern Railway Co. has been
Incorporated and plans to commence to build a road
north up into Real rounty; the prospects of rail-
road facilities have already had some effect on lose
values In northern Uvalde and counties to the north.
