general depression, we feel satisfied
that these so-called hard times exist
only in the unaginntiou of a diseased

Then again when a man buys a

always the primary consideration.
We havij just received a new lot of
the celebrated F. B. Q clothing.

bought just at the light time, during
the time of uncertainty and before

The Apportionment Scandal.
Gov. Renfrow is working at a two
minute gait In order to make sure
that Allen flail's minority report on
the districting of the territory shall
stand. The proclamation has been
Issued, and IU follows the minority
report.
According to the report as Hied by
Allen Hall and accepted by Governor
Renfrow, Oklahoma City and Greeley
and Oklahoma townships constitute
one representative district.
Duer Creek, Spring Creek, Council
Grove, Mustang. Edmond, Britton,
Hartzell, Crutcho, Buone, Choctaw
and Springer townships constitute
another representative district. The
two districts constitute a council dis-

Llnco'n and Deep Fork townships
are disfranchised again by being
placed in the Chandler representative
district and the council district that
includes Pottawatomie cointy and
reaches from Edmond to Sacred
Heart, a distance of.oiuety-live miles.
Pott and Cass townships are added
to Cleveland county.
The plan adopted by the majority
of the commission, Walker and Ober-

and Oklahoma and Greeley towndifps.
Another district Is composed of Ed-

The democratic district takes the
form of an office chair, while that
proposed by the commission is com-

A Good Report.
For the week ending Monday, Sep
teniber 17th, 181)4.
The average temperature for the
past sevcu days at Oklahoma City,
was 70.1 degrees, 2.8 degrees below
normal for this week in September.
The highe-' temperature, >.)-l degrees,
occurred at Anadarko, on the 14th, I
and Purcell on 15th; lowest temper-
ature, 17 degrees at Anadarko, was
reached on the 12th.
The least amount of rain fell in
Oklahoma county, where it is still to
dry in the northern portion, to make
seeding practicable, and chinch bugs
are doing considerable damage to
calllr corn. Grasshoppers are doing
damage to late turnips in the strip
counties, where a large crop has been
sown. In the northern portion of
Cleveland county, no rain fell during
the wtck; the weather has been cool-
er however, and to some extent
crops have revived; still late crops
will amount to very little unless rain
falls soon.
