Leroy Anderson, of
Catoosa, died Wednesday.
March 2. 2005 at the age of
05. He was born Dec. 31. 1930
to William David and Etna
Anderson, of Mounds.
Leroy is preceded in death
by his father and mother; sis-
ter Lucille, and brother
Kenneth Ray Anderson
He married Debbie Perry
on Nov. 7. 1980. Leroy attend-
ed Mounds schools and gradu-
ated in 1958 He worked for
McDonald Douglas Aircraft
for 31 years. He finished his
work for the last six years as a
lead man for research and de-
velopment for Pryor Machine
in Tulsa.
Leroy was best known in
his leisure time, and on occa-
sion at work, of his quick w it.
storytelling, his love of golt
and hunting and playing pool
that he was well skilled at
times to his up-most enjoy-
ment. His love ot Clod and his
family and friends were well
known to those around him.
He is survived by his wife.

Officer makes firearm,
drug related arrest

Herald Staff Writer
A 31-year-old Tulsa man
was arrested Tuesday by
Sapulpa police tor possession
of a firearm after a felony con-
viction.
Patrolman John Harris re-
ported he stopped an auto
driven by Samuel Arnold near
the South 49th West Avenue
and Skelly Drive intersection
after a check revealed the ve-
hicle license tag had expired
Harris said that as Arnold
was exiting the auto he spotted
a handgun in a holster on the
front seat of the car.
The patrolman said he also
learned the Arnold s driver s
license had been suspended
and the suspect had been con-
victed of felony possession of
marijuana in Tulsa County in
2002.
Harris said the firearm was
a .38 caliber revolver and was
unloaded at the time.
The patrolman said he also
found a smoking pipe with
residue of suspected mari juana
m the suspect's front pants
pocket.

Gas prices jump in Sapulpa, state

The average price tor a gal-
lon of self-serve regular gaso-
line across Oklahoma today is
$1.85. according to AAA
Oklahoma, an increase of six
cents over the last week
Prices are as high as $1.89
in Sapulpa.
Today's state average price
compares with $1.83 one
month ago and $1.55 one year
ago.
AAA's Fuel Gauge Report
shows the average price in
Oklahoma City is currently

average has risen by eight
cents per gallon in one week,
