Passenger train 510 from the
south, due here at M:.'io Wednesday
"ight was derailed two miles this
side of Weleetka. The derailment
was probably c.uised by s| reading
rails. 1 lie tender and all the cars,
including baggage, mail, express,
smoker and two chair cars, left ihej
rails 1 lie train was running about
twenty-five miles an hour and,
bumped along on the tics for some |
distance and then sank in the mud.
The train was not put back on
the rails until yesterday morning
and arrived here at eleven o'clock,!
over fourteen hours I ite. I'he smok-
er was in such condition as to be j
considered dangerous and it was
sidetracked. The train was made
up here with -TOT and went out as
that train.

LODGE HAD BIG TIME
The Modern Brotherhood of
America had big doings at t le En-
gles hall last night when a big bunch
ol new members were taken in.
President J. l<- Watson and orga-
nizer L H Williams made speeches
for the good of the order. The lodge
was organized May 16th with six-
ty-live members and now has twen-
ty-five more applications. After the
work last night a banquet wis
served to about 130 persons. The
menu consisted of ice cream, cake,
lemonade and soda poi>. The Mod-
ern Brotherhood of America starts
out with very flattering prospects
and will soon prove one of the lead-
ing orders in Sapulpa
POLICE COURT DOINGS
Only one case was up in police
court to-dav. Kay Braden, a boy |
from the country, got pretty full I
yesterday evening. His friends io^sis (
ted him 011 his Iiorse and he started j
to leave town but got only about I
a b'ock when he fell off. He fellKSi- ;
rectlv in front of C M. Noble's, bug-
gv and before that gentleman could j
stop his horse the buggy had run
over Rav. The lad was not injured
and later Assistant Chief Hayter
took him in charge. This morning
on his plea of guilty Judge Dye fined
him $0 00 and costs. Rav was the
first victim of the court's new ruling
to impose a fine of that amount in
stead of *.'{.00 as heretofore.
RAILROAD NOTES
Car truckman, Chamberlain has
resigned.
XIachinist (>. W. Metcalf was em-
ployed to-day.
Boilermaker Stout made a trip to
Tulsa yesterday on company busi-
ness. '
I" ireman W. S. Malone was em-
ployed to-day and will work out of
Tulsa.
Former Master Mechanic Patter-
son left last night for his home in
Denver.
Some repairs have been made to
the turn table in the way of a new
floor.
Engineer Mankin, who has been
off for about three weeks, is back at
work again.
Engineer Jack Harris is here from
Monett to-dav. He has been laving
off tor some time.
Brakeman A. P. Slirum has been
given a passenger run on 13 and 14
between Sapulpa and Kansas Citv.
