ANNOUNCEMENT
We take this method of announcing to the public that we have decided to continue through
the year 1917 our Profit-sharing system. We have decided on another improvement—
we will have premiums on hand at all times whether listed in our new catalogue or not, thus
saving you the long wait in securing them from the factory. Our line of premiums for 1917
will be high class in every respect. A cash value of 3c on the dollar is placed on our Profit-
Sharing Coupons which can be cashed when the holder has Ten Dollars or more. Anyone
desiring a premium which is not listed in our catalogue can get same by request if it can be
obtained in the United States.
Our new premiums will not be on display until after our return from New York City which
will be in about three weeks, where we have gone to buy new spring and summer goods.
While away, you will find it to be a most opportune time to make your purchases of season-
able goods that are being sold cheaper now than at any other time of the year at
NewYork Barg'n Store
in order to make room for our purchases of new goods which will shortly begin to arrive, and
in the meantime don't fail to ask for one of our premium catalogues.
POULTRY PARASITES
You keep the chicken house clean
to keep the parasites off the chick-
ens. You spray to kill germs—but
what do you do to get the germs and
parasites inside the chickens? Hens
especially show it at moulting time
and during the winter. How can you
expect them to lay? Free them of
all internal parasites by feeding B.
A. Thomas Poultry Powder occasion
ally. If it doesn't make your hens
happy, we will return yo'ir money.—

Oklahoma City, Jan. 10.— (Spec-
ial to Prague Record).—According
to Mr. C. W. Shannon, director of
the Oklahoma geological survey of
the University of Oklahoma, Okla-
homa has such an abundanie of road
building material at frequent in-
tervals throughout the state thit
the building of good roads in this
state is comparatively an easy and
conveninet matter. At the recent
good roads week meeting at the Un-
iversity, Mr. Shannon said that
"Oklahoma can have a better sys-
tem of roads at less cost than any
other state in the union." Abund-
ance of excellent materials within
easy distance of the roads to be
built make this possible.
By using a map, Mr. Shannon
pointed out the location of depos
its of limestone, gravels, clays, gyp-
sum, asphalt and asphatic oils, all
natural road-building materials.
For years, those who have con-
sistently advocated the building
of better country roads have main-
tained that this state has the natu-
ral materials in plenty with which
to construct good roads and that it
was not necessary to resort to the
more expensive methods in order to
have as good, if not better, roads
than any other western state. Now
that road building is being brought
so prominently before the public
mind this situation is shown to be
true.
By first locating materials, map-
ping their road system, the cost of
building roads can be easily deter-
mined by county commissioners and
county engineers.
BAD HABITS
Those who breakfast at 8 o'clock
or later, lunch at 12 and have din-
ner at 0 are almost certain to be
troubled with indigestion. They .do
not allow time for one meal to di-
gest before taking another. Not less
than five hours should elapse be-
tween meals. If you are troubled
with indigestion correct your habits
and take Chamberlain's Tablets, and
you may reasonably hope for quick
recovery. These tablets strengthen
the stomach and enable it to per-
form its functions naturally.—Ob-
tainable everywhere.—adv.
