How Robert Vietor
packs more activities
into “after-work” hours:
“I pick up the phone
and things get done.”
Roliert Vietor sets a busy pace of business and social activi-
ties. At work, he’s an electrician. OfT the job, he enjoys
do-it-yourself projects, takes part in church and social events,
hunts, bowls, and still has time to spend with his family. ,
He has help, though: his two home telephones. “They help
mp get a lot more things done,” he says. “I can call up five or
six people in the time it would take me to drive over and
see one.
“My phone calls are many and varied—they follow no partic-
ular pattern,” Mr. Vietor explains. “For instance, here are
just a few calls I made and received in one week.”
“Told a friend that I can’t help him put up gut-
tering on h*s porch Saturday. Have to work."
“Called the doctor about my wife, who hasn't
been feeling well. He said she should rest at
least two more days."

A friend called to invite us to his son s
birthday party next week
"Called a fellow I work with to see who s
driving tomorrow. He said he is ond will
pick me up ot the usual time."
’’Colled a friend to tell him we can't go
to the church party Friday night. Hope
we can attend next week's get together.”
"Phoned several guys to organize a bowling team.
Three out of four t colled said they'd bov.l.”
