gan. Scores of Texas farmers and

VENES AT COLUMBUS TODAY

Columbus, Ohio, .lan. 6.—Ohio's
lawmakers assembled today for the
J919 legislative session which is ex-
piated to take up. among other im-
portant measures, the matter of
adoption of the state-wide prohibition
amendment.
New taxation laws, according to
officials, also will have to be enacted
in order to make up the deficit of ap-
proximately $7,000,000 which was
formely colected in liquor traffic rev-
enues. The legislature is republican
and overwhelmingly "dry.''
