OKLAHOMA HUNTING SEASON
The Oklahoma hunting season is m
full blast. In different parts of the
state, 20 or 30 sheriffs and sheriff-
deputies are busy hunting for bank
robbers, and hardly ever finding
them. "If occasionally they "close in
on 'em," a few deputies are killed or
wounded and the robbers get away.
The sheriff loses the trail and the
bank loses the money. Francisco \ il-
ia could make more money here than
he does in Mexico, Oh, well, never
mind. The legislature intends to pass
a bill making-the robbery of banks il-
legal, and punishing the robbers in
some way or other. Let us be pati-

Lovell Delegate
Of Local Club
Dr M. C. Lovell leaves for Oklaho-
ma City tonight as a delegate of the
Drumright Gun Club to the meeting
v. iiich will be held at the Skin-in Ho-
ul, Tuesday night, when representa-
tives of various gun clubs and game
protective associations of the state
will meet with the house and senate
committee on game laws for the pui-
pose of conferring regarding the
framing of new and revision of old
name laws. The secretary of the local
L-un club was chosen a delegate at a
meeting of the club members which
was held Saturday night. Sportsmen
all over the state are interested in the
action which will be taken at tomor-
row night's meeting.

George Hermann of Wheeling, W.
Va., father of G. C. Herman, the lo-
cal hardware dealer, has returned
preme court and will be tried at the
spring term—possibly in April—ac-
cording to the latest information re-
ceived from attorneys connected with
the famous suit. J. C. Stone, one of
the three attorneys for the defend-
ants in the original bill of complaint
recently returned from a trip to
Washington where he succeeded in
getting the case docketed.
The case was decided against the
government in the trial court and was

picture show in Tulsa last night, M.
T. Mock, a partner of the firm of Mock
& Winan, of this city, lies in the Tulsa
hospital seriously ill of pneumonia.
Mr. Mock was in Tulsa on a business
trip. He was well enough to attend a
show last night but was overcome
shortly after the performance started
and was removed to the hospital at
once. Mr. Winan was in communica-
tion with the matron of the hospital
today and she stated that Mr. Mock
has a severe attack of pneumonia.
The seriousness of his condition can-
not be ascertained at this time.
