EIGHT HAVE BEEN BIT-
TEN BY RABIED 4)OC
A fox terrier dog succeeded in
biting eight people on the Ella .l ines
farm, two miles east of the city, Tues-
'lay morning liefore it was killed. An
examination of the head of th, <a
"ino by State Health Onicer John
Duke showed lhat it w infected
with rabies, and eight victims an un-
dergoing pasteur treatment at the
i mergeney Hospital
The dog was owned by A. E. Robi-
on, a pumper on the Jones lease.
When it became mad Tuesday morn-
nit' il went on a rampage, biting ev-
"lything in its path. Its owner, not
wishing to have it killed and thinking
it possible that the dog was not mad,
asked that it be caught and returned
■ to him. J. Wilson, a neighbor, caught
the do* and was bitten on the hand.
Jthers who cam, in contact with the
animal, were bitten, and it was not
until after the dog had practically
ran itself to death, that it was killed
