Water Works Will be Owned by
the Tpwn.
There were but two votes cast
against the proposition to issue
bonds to raise money to buy out
tha water works at the election
last Saturday. Four votes were
cast against street improvement
bonds, but both propositions
carried. We think this is a wise
step.
Now let the city authorities
get busy, use good judgment
and economy and lay the foun-
dation for a good water works
system. Before a great while a
good sewerage system should
be provided for. Then the town
can be protected from fire and
disease. Without sucM protec-
tection the town will be in jeo-
pardy continually.
