A General Soreness.
Oklahoma City, Ok. Mar. 4.—
Much soreness has been created
among bull moosers over the dis-
play of absolute machine methods
that were used at the recent state
meet in forming the temporary
and permanent organization and
especially in the election of John
M. Hale as chairman of the pro-
gressive committee. It was evi-
dent to all who attended that the
McDonald machine,backed up by
the big Oklhoma City delegation
dictated the election of Hale.
Mr. Hale is an Oklahoma
City banker. He has sometimes
affiliated with the republicans and
sometimes with the democratic
party. At present he hol^s a
lucrative position with the Okla-
homa City goverment having
been elected three years ago by
the democratic city commission-
ers as a member of the civil ser-
vice board over the protest of the
republican commissioners.
