heretofore regarded as a milionairo
and who cleaned up half a milli n
dollars when the Glenn Oil pool was
brought in, is a bankrupt and Sat-
urday confessed bankruptcy by fil-
ing a petition of voluntary bank-
ruptcy in the United States court a'
Muskogee.
Roeser filed a schedule giving his
liabilities at $96,271.73 and his as-
sets at $30,175.
Roeser was a "plunger" and spent
money with a lavish hand. After
he struck it rich in the oil fields, «
he bought the finest house in the
town of Tulsa and spent JS0.000 re-
modeling and fitting it up. Blue-
grass sod for his lawn he shipped
from Kentucky, heavy iron lighting
pests he had sent from Pittsburg by
express. During one season he acd
his family went to Canada to spend
the summer and he had his filve
automobiles shipped there in a
pecial car. During some auto rac-
es In Tulsa he ordered a $4,500 rat-
ing car by wire and had it shipped
by express. He entered the race
and was beaten by an inferior car.

he sold it for $1,000.
He was a fine mixer and was
known all over the Oklahoma oil
district, in some sections he had
been dubbed the "Death Valley Scott.1
