Great preparations have been made

Manager McAvoy and his men left
last night for Tulsa, where they spent
the night and this morning the team
left for Independence.
Reports from Tulsa as to the sale of
the 1000 tickets are not very encourag-
ing, but President Hayden will use
the Tulsa team to open the season. If
the time the team is to come home, the
tickets have not been sold, the fran-

The handsome, new Crescent Box
Ball Parlor will o|>en tonight in the
room at No. 20 North Main.
Box ball is a new form of amusement
to Sapulpa. and probably very few
know the game. It's general princi-
ples are the same as those used In
bowling, hut numbered paddles are
used Instead of pins.
Mr. Metcalf has installed three
(|ua.rter.sawed oak alleys. A light 1*11
is used in knocking down the paddles,
and the score depends upon the coriect j
ness of the aim, the paddles with the]
higher numbers of course being more
desirable.
This new game combines great inter-
est together with the decided benefit
of giving the players healthy and vig-
orous exercise.
Everyone can enjoy this ^musement
with equal pleasure. Ladies and chll.
dren enjoy playing, as the balls are
light, and the runway Is elevated
slightly Com the floor so that they
get the full amount of exercise with-
out the strain.
The management will mu the busi-
ness on a high standard and invites
