Last Suuday evening the good news

i iheadle that ihe bill granting the right
of way to the Oklahoma Central Rail-
road had been amended ao as to make
Chandler one of the points through
which the road is required to run and as
i bus amended had parsed the houae.
This news the more welcome, on ac-
count of the gloom which had been cast
over our railroad prospects by the actiou

i few days before al which a resolution
had been unanimously adopted request-

'gnnring the claims of Chandler. It
seems however that the Chandler irp
rosentatives iy Washington held the
edge, and Delegate Flynn and the pro-
moters of the railroad project were com-
pelled to submit to the amendment, in
order to get the bill passed at all this
sesiion. Tho bill will probably go
through the senate in a short time with-
out opposition.
