Idle Hour Theatre
Everybody knows the merit of Gold j
Seal productions. Today, at the Idle j
Hour Theatre, the management has i
arranged for the showing of that late
release, "June Madness," a three-
peel Gobi Seal drama, featuring that !
beautiful and talented little actress, I
Gypsie Hart, who is supported by Roy
Stewart, one of the most successful
and popular stars of the season. This
is a great society play; on that deals
directly with existent evils of society
and which has received high praise
wherever it has been exhibited. Phil
Dunham, one of the cleverest come-
dians of the screen, will also appear
in his latest L-KO success, "Faking
Fakirs," a laughable comedy de luxe.
"Gold Lust" is the title of a one-act
Big U drama of the plains, and a wes-
tern play filled with real western
spirit, ^romorrow marks the showing
of that great drama, "The Pearl of
Paradise," featuring Marguerite
Fischer and an all-star cast.
Strand Theatre
Joe Boggs, that fellow who manu-
factures laughter in carload lots and
who has been bringing deep smiles
and spreading them over large audi-
ences at the Strand Theatre since last
Sunday, when the Vanity Girls be-
gan their week's engagement, has a
number of "good uns" to pull on the-
atre-goers of Drumright this evening
when he appears in that clsassical
tabloid farce comedy success, "The
Adamless Eden." This play is the
; peer of all comedy plays and one that
has been highly endorsed by hun-
dreds who have witnessed its produc-
tion in the east. Boggs, although fun-
ny at all times, is at his best this eve-
ning, and those who see him will not
be disappointed. World-Brady feat-
ures will also present Robert War-
wick that talented actor in "All
Man," a five-act photodrama in which
he is supported by winsome Miss Mol-
lie King, his is one of the greatest so-
ciety dramas of the age, taken from
an all-absorbing storv by Willard
Mack.

No, we do not expect to attend the
inauguration ceremonies at Wash-
ington. Why? Thats our' business.
—o—
Promoter Fisher received a wire
late yesterday afternoon from Tom-1
my Sullivan that he will leave St.
Louis with Leo Kelly, Sunday. Kelly
will be here Monday and will start in
training at the D. A. C. Tuesday.
—o—
Spider Moffatt, who shaded Fran- j
kie Manila to a decision in the semi-1
windup at Tulsa this week, will go I
on with Frankie Nurdin, thc premier
young bantam of this district, in the
semi-windup to the Smith-Kelly bout.
It will be a treat to see Frankie in
action again. He's a clever little box-
er, popular with the fans, and always
a hard worker, he gives the boys a
run for their money when he steps in-
to the ring.
—o—
It was George Washington who cut
down the cherry tree with his little
hatchet, refused to attach the stigma
of prevarication to himself and as a
consequence stood in danger of tak-
ing a severe beating from the old
man. Modern Young America, as we
have met him recently, would be
more apt to tell the old man some-
what as follows: "Sure, I cut the tree
down. What are you nudging your-
self in about it for? I'll cut down an-
other tree if I feel like it. If you
don't like it go to the devil! If you
get heavy with me about it, I'll lam
you one on the beezer, you fossilized
old geezer. Back up, pop, you're
skidding."
—o—
The following letter from Frankie
Nurdin, the premier batam weight,
now located at Shamrock, throws a
light on the status of Leo Kelly as
he is viewed by a boy who knows his
work and has seen him in several bat-
tles. It argues well for the quality of
the Smith-Kelly match. The letter
follows:
Shamrock, Okla., February 21, '17
Mr. J. P. Fisher,
Drumright, Oklahoma.
Friend Fisher:
In regards to that which you
spoke to me of yesterday, will state
that I know Kelly well and am not
misrepresenting him when I say he is
one of the best welters in the game
and has a claim to the disputed wel-
ter-weight championship.
When Wilcat Ferns claimed thc
championship I saw him and Kelly
step fifteen fast rounds to a draw,
and on a later date Kelly beat Fern-!.
Kelly has fought all the good boys
from 133 to 158 pounds; has fought
throughout the country and has re-
ceived real money.
The Drumright fans know Curley
Smith's ability, so when Smit hand
Kelly clash they will see a real bat-
tle, as Kelly can stand the gaff and
fights every round. Kelly steps in and
fights at the first tap of the bell to the
final tap.
Now, I guess you know that Kelly
is a real fighter.
I wish you would see if you can
get Manila for me. But I must work
with Curley. I start training tomor-
row.
Regards to you and Curley and all
the Drumright boys.
Sincerely,
F. NURDIN.
