In the. indictments it is held that
the Mi'Namara brotaers and Ortie
McManigal were merely the agents
.of a vast conspiracy 'and that the
'oe1c of blowing up structures in-
cluding the Los Angeles Timers' build-
ing in October 1910 was carried on
lor a year at the dictation of superior
officers and at the solicitation of lo-
cal unions.

the corner of N'intli ami Main streets
here last evening. Frank Kirlin sur-
rendered to the officers admitting
that he did the shooting. With Slay-
ton when he was killed was Lillie
Fay KirKlin. divorced wife of Frank i
Kirklin and who was this morning to
have- become the wife of the slain
man. The news of the tragedy caused
much excitement. For a time rumors
connected the tragedy with the Sliced
case.

Island connection has 2500 mile of
line here. This is one of the largest
deals in the history of the express
business in the United States. Be

The "Hock Barn." which litis fig-
ured so prominently in lxdice circles
of late was the scene of another raid
this niornin?. A full gaming equip-
ment including chairs tables crap
tables and poker chips enough to
stock a steamboat on the lower Mis-
sissippi river were captured.
In compliance with the provisions
of the law Chief of Police Hrazlel had
the entire lot of furniture' and other
naming paraphernalia hurned upon H
vacant lot belonging to the city back
of the city hall. This is the second
time this particular place has been
raided within a . week. We are in-
formed that while no arrests have
been mi'V yet that a number are
likely to be made within a short time.
