state central comittee todav issued
the official call for the state conven-
tion to selict delegates to the nation-
al Democratic convention. The state
convention will be held in Oklahoma
City PeD. 22 and will pruiJ be
first state convention of the year.
Precinct conventions are ordered
for Feb. 10 and county conventions
to select delegates to the state con-
vention are ordered for Feb. IT.

Muskogee Okla. Jan. 11. Dispatch-
es from Marietta Okla. in the ex-
treme southern portion of the state
state that six deaths from meningitis
have occurred there. Durant. Okla..
reports three deaths. One person
died in McAlester of meningitis today.
Authorities in all these places are
planning to adopt strenuous methods
of checking the spread of the disease.
