The Jefferson School Mothers' club
met at the school building on Friday
afternoon when the pupils of the var-
ious grades gae a splendid program.
The principal Of the school was
present and expressed his appreciation
of the hearty co-operation ot the
mothers of that ward. After the bus-
iness meeting the club adjourned to
meet this week when some very IHV

brought up for discussion

The members of the Hroadwa
Methodist; Church enjoyed a regular
family reunion at the residence of
Mrs. R. W. Randol on Friday evening
when r:iere assembled some three hun
dred strong to meet and welcome 'he
host of new members who joined dur-
ing the revival.
There was no set program and no
defined manner of entertainment but
the ladies of the Aid and Missionary
Societies formed themselves Into a
committee to see that every one met
everyone else and that the spirit ol
goodwill and Christian love should be
fell by all the members.
Rev. Gray made a short talk and a
number of musical selections were
given by the musicians present and a
reading was aio enjoyed

Third Ward Mothers' Club.
A splendid attendance at the Third
Ward Mothers' ciuii yesterday after
noon bespoke tiie enthusiasm with
which the ladies have begun the
year's work. At the business session
twenty-live dollars was pledged to
the salary of the Y. M. C. A secre-
tary. The day of meeting was chang-
ed from Friday to Thursday.
A very interesting program was
enjoyed.
Superintendent Richards made a
splendid talk on "Danger Signal-
along the line of physical deficiencies

physical examination of all school
children believing that many chil-
dren lag behind in their studies be-
cause they are not physically sound.
The children from the second grade
sang very sweetly and were much ap
planded by the mothers.
