CARTER COUNTY
EXHIBIT SHIPPED
BETTER BY FAR THAN OF LAST
YEAR IS THIS DISPLAY SHIPPED
YESTERDAY MORNING.
The exhibit for Carter county at the
slate fair was shipped by express tj
Oklahoma City yesterday morning in
charge of .Indue West.
The reason for shipping this exhibit
by express was the result of the les-
son learned in handling the exhibit
last year. A cur was chartered ill on
this occasion and when it arrived at
Oklahoma City it was found that a
dray could not be had for less than
six dollars per trip to '"lio ne pUl1'
to the fair ground which made the
expense rather heavy to hear by the
few who were interested last year.
The difference between the express
mid freight charges is small and the
express company deliver the stuff in
first class condition at the lair
grounds thereby saving many dollars
o'. expense for drayage.
A great many articles will have lo
be. shipped Monday as the farmers are
bringing their exhibits to town and
Secretary. McCoy of the Commercial
Club will receive all such and take
( barge of the shipping; Monday.

The Ardmore sanitarium is nearly
lini-hcd and the contractors will turn
over the building to the owner Dr.
Hardy within a few days
This is one of the best ecpiipped
sanitariums in the. southwest and
aside from the modern appliances in-
stalled is one or the most attractive
owing to the interior decorations.
C. V. HUgerl had the contract to
do the interior decorating and to say
that the job was well done Is putting

the weather is too warm for fall and

shown in the city and when the
weather demands they anticipate a
