OPPORTUNITY IN AND AROUND GARBER
Local happenings are of such interest to local readers that all
foreign news and events have become of secondary importance. In-
stead of our local affairs quieting down, their importance has been
steadily increasing as widcatting is reaching out into new fields and
slowly but surely developing priceless areas, where oil aggregating
millions of wealth is tapped by the intermittant stroke of the in-
fallible drill. While other portions of the country and other towns
are beginning to feel the effects of a closing in of the money supply
of the country, in an effort to put a stop to upward trend of prices
of all the necessities of life, such is the demand for our high-grade
oil that every impetus possible that money and influence can ac-
quire, is freely and persistently given to discover and develop the
same. These conditions are producing the exceptional life that ex-
ists in our community and unless the railroads utterly fail us in
supplying the heavy material for our oil fields, we can be assured
that there will be no suspension of activity.
Notwithstanding the persistent demand for oil, the inevitable
blockade of our looted railroad systems (that the government is
asked to reinstate financially, so private owners will be enabled to
successfully continue their robbery, with the pretense of getting the
systems in working order i may become the only cause for sus-
pension of activities in our oil fields, which even threatens to be
most serious.
The city of Garber is being built of imperishable material on
foundations that will stand for centuries. Exceptionally rich soil
conditions that render our farms most valuable as sources of food

and effort renders Garber a most desirable place in which to live
and many of the best people of all the world are coming here to live,
while many who have gone to other places for a time are only too
glad of an opportunity to return and be reinstated in some business
again.

Build That Sleeping Porch Now!
Don't wait until arrival of sultry summer nights to pre-
pare for restful, comfortable sleeping quarters.
Just put your own money value on a good night's rest and
then multiply that by the number of summer days. That
estimate will convince you that money invested in a sleeping
porch will pay handsome returns.
W e will take a photograph of your home and design a
sleeping porch that will harmonize with the design of your
house. We can show you how it will look when finished and
just what the cost will be.
Just call for our Sleeping Porch Specialist. He will likely
be busy with this work so get your plans started now.
