Tulsa. Ok., Jan. 2 4.—The signing
of contracts today by many deposit-
ors of the failed Farmers' National
bank at Tulsa, agreeing to take cer-
tificates of deposits in the bank to
be reorganized, and guarantee the
institution against a run by deposit-
rs is said to have practically assur-
d a reopening of the bank. The de-
positors agreed to accept three, six
and twelve months time on certifi-
ates, according to the amount of
their deposits at three per cent in-
erest under these conditions.
P. J. White, and other wealthy oil
operators, agreed to reopen the bank,
liquidate all deficiencies and pay de-
positors in full. Depositors consid-
r if the bank is permanently closed
its affairs will not be settled for
ears and then at less than at par,
while if the institution reopens under
new management, it will shortly get
all deposits back with interest.
The new bank is to be capitalized
at $150,000 and application for a
new charter was made today by
White and his associates.

CANNON TO HAVE OPPOSITION
\ Strong Man Will Likely Seek the
Nomination in the Danville
District This Year Against
"Uncle Joe."
Chcago, Jan. 24.—(Editor of the
Tribune.)—If Uncle Joe is to be re-
tired to private life there is no bet-
ter man in this district to succeed
him than John L. Haniton of Hoopes-
ton. Vermillion county. Reared in
Iriquois (where his father, of same
name, was the only republican who
could be elected to any office for sev-
eral years), president of the Hoopes-
ton National bank, ex-president of
the American Bankers" association—
with a national reputation, he would
become a worthy successor. He is
all wool and a yard wide." The
more you investigate him the better
you will think of him.
If Joe has to go won't you "stand
for" John?
The above clipping was taken from
Sunday's Tribune. The Eagle is not
acquainted with Mr. Hamilton, but
J. Pittser, the United eBnefit In-
surance man, who recently came to
this city, has lived in the same city
with Mr. Hamiltou for eight years
and they are personal friends. Mr.
Pittser says he can vouch for Mr.
Hamilton and would be pleased to
see him land if "Uncle Joe" has to
go.

grow enthusiastic. It is enough to
make anyone happy to find relle

J. F. Deardorff, 908 W. Maple

Kidney Pills have done me more
good than any other remedy I hav
ever used. Last summer I was un
able to do a bit of work. I had a
specialist attend me and l thought
1 would have to be operated upon
The kidney secretions had to be
drawn from me and the pains
such times were simply terrible,
would not consent to the operation
although I knew that something had
to be done soon. About that time
a friend urged me to try Doan's
Kidney Pills, and I got a box at
the Corry Pharmacy. Prompt re-
lief followed their use and the con-
tents of three boxes completely
cured me. Now I have no trouble
