Kennedy Bros, announce in this is-
sue of The Eagle a continuation of
their great Undermuslin Sale, for two
days—Monday and Tuesday—of next
week. This is done In order to en-
able those who could not attend the
ssale on Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday of last week, on account of
the bad weather. This is one of the
biggest sales of undermuslin ever
conducted by this low priced store in
Enid, and the continuation of this
big sale will be a great convenience
to buyers.
iU'RGLAR STARTED THINGS
GOING AT MARSHALL.
The peace and quietude of the lit-
tle village of Marshall, thirty miles
south of here, was interrupted by a
burglar last night, who broke into
a merchandise store and butcher
shop. He was frightened away by
citizens and left his booty.
Saturday the sheriff's force of
this city were informed to be in the
look-out for the offender. Notice
was received yesterday afternoon
that the thief had been captured at
Fairmont.
Frank Wilkin* in Florida.
Relatives of Frank Wilkins, form-
erly a councilman, who is enjoying
a sojourn in Florida, have received
a letter from him in which it is stat-
ed that the recent cold period ex-
tended as far south as Florida, where
the ground was frozen over. It is
the first time in years that it has
frozen at the place where Mr. Wil-
kins is visiting.

Johnnie Evans, one of the gang
commonly denominated the dirty

Notwithstanding the fact that he is
only sixteen years old, Johnnie has
about as long a police record as any
man in town.
The particular offense with which
Johnnie is now charged is the theft
of chickens. It is alleged that he
operated by day as well as night. He
is now in the city bastile.

FRANK KIRK TELLS OF
SUCK PAVILION CONDITIONS
To the Citizens of Enid:
I could write enough to nil this
paper and still not tell of all the
Rood that could be said regarding
the Stock Pavilion, and the results
it will bring if the Fine Stock Shows
and Sales are continued. However.
I presume that all the boosters of
Enid realize these facta, and for the
time at least. I will pass it up.
On account of subscriptions not
being paid, the Fair Association has
been In debt almost from the begin-
ning. Notwithstanding the fact that
the last Show was a record-breaker,
so far as the exhibit was concerned,
it was a financial failure on account
o' the worst weather ever experi-
enced in Oklahoma in December.
With good weather, the show would
have paid a nice profit, but we are
up against the facts. There is a
total indebtedness due and unpaid
of about $16,000. It seems to be a
unanimous opinion that this short-
age should be paid, and the stoi
shows continued, but all seem
want the other fellow to do the pay
ing, and nothing has been done.
I have worked eight months with
out receiving one dollar for
time. I have stood the embarrass'
ment of standing off the creditor
for this Association as long as I
feel called upon to do it. I am wi
ing to do all I can to make a sue
cess of this enterprise, but I can
nothing unless this Indebtedness is
Iiaid. The majority of the stock
holders feel that they have done a
they care to; the money they paid
in many eases, was given as a dona
tlon notwithstanding the fact that
they were issued stock for it, and
feel that they would prefer to lose
what they have rather than put in
enough to pay off the indebtedness
There are less than 150 men
Enid that have subscribed and paid
for stock in this Association. It
seems to me that the Real Estate
and business interests of Enid de
mand that this proposition be taken
care of, and unless some organized
effort is made immediately, I will
resign, and devote my time to some
thing else.
For the information of some who
have a false impression, I want t
say that I just own fl.00 worth of
stock in this enterprise. When I
gave 40 acres of ground to this As
soeiation, the consideration named
in the deed was $1.00. I have sold
my farm and so far as I am person
ally concerned, have no financial
interest in the Fair Association,
mention this as there seems to be
an impression among a certain class
of people that this is a private en
terprise belonging largely to me.
There will be a meeting of the
stockholders In the Chamber of
Commerce room Friday Jan. 21
at 7:30 p. in. All citizens Inter
ested in the success of this enter'
prise are invited and urgently
quested to be present. I assure you
one and all, that so far as I am In-
dividually concerned, there luuBt be
some organized effort to pay off this
indebtedness, or 1 will have nothing
more to do with it.
Respectfully yours,
F. S. KIRK.

The final chapter in the famous
Bregenzer divorce case, which was
one of the most sensational and
most lengthy that has ever been
tried here, was written when attor-

the costs, alimony and attorneys
fees. The trial cost over $1,000
$:?00 being set aside as alimony for

and the costs amounted to more
than $300.

The best and only permanent col-
ors of the face are those which na-
ture herself paints thereon, not on
the surface of the skin, but down
underneath the cuticle, and which
can be supplied only by a strong cur-
rent of pure, rich, red blood con-
stantly flowing through the capil-
laries, or superficial blood vessels in
such a way as to maintain a perfect
condition of the skin, with the pores
entirely unclogged by foreign or ef-
fete matter of any kind.
It is impossible to estimate the
number of dollars yearly wasted
through the vain and foolish attempts
of people to rid their faces of pim-
ples, blotches, blackheads, and other
facial blemishes, by using salves,
ointments, lotions, cold creahis, etc.,
to say nothing of the widespread use
of facial massage, both manual and
electrical, by which they attempt to
coax the thin and sluggishly flowing
blood to the cheeks, in order to give
them a rosy and healthy appearance;
and although, by sucti methods, they
may succeed in drawing the blood
there temporarily, they cannot reep it
there permanently, as only Nature
can do that, and in half an hour or
so later, the messaged cheeks are as
pallid as before.
The "skin food" fallacy is another
one of the many foolish fads of the
day. The skin has no more power
of absorption than a rubber coat, and
is simply an "envelope" over the
muscular system for the protection
of the body, and is intended to keep
things out. not to admit anything.
The epidermis, or outer skin, is con-
stantly peeling off. The epithelial
cells drop away, carrying with them
the things which have been applied
to the skin.
The skin cannot be fed from the
outside, and nothing of a nutritious,
healing or fat producing character
can be Introduced through it, so that
the time and money spent on so-call-
ed "skin foods" are simply wasted,
for such treatment Is contrary
Nature, and the skin, like every other
organ of the body, must receive its
nutriment from the inside.
If your complexion is full of pim-
ples. blackheads, "liver spots," or
blotches, don't waste time on local
treatment, but purify the blood thor-
oughly, and these blemishes will
quickly depart.
STUARTS CALCIUM WAFERS
are getting excellent results In curing
all skin and blood diseases, and not
only do they rid the blood of all Im-
purities, but also build it up and
strengthen and increase the blood
current, making the cheeks rosy, re-
moving pallor and wrinkles, and
causing the Whole countenance to
fairly beam with superb health.
Secure a box of thees blood purify-
