Obituary.
Died: Aged 44, Thomas Mills at
9:45 a. m., Saturday, Sept. 4th. at his
residence, six miles west and two miles
south of Edmond.
The deceased was on the sick list
for about six weeks prior to his death.
Everything that a devoted wife, dutiful
children and kind friends could do
wa« done, but an all wise providence
hail decreed that for him, the journey
of life was finished.
Mr. Mills was born in Pennsylvania,
and came to Oklahoma April 22nd,
1889, and has lived since that time on

started to the Normal School Monday.

Tuesday for a two weeks' visit to the
exposition at Nashville und other

A. McDonald has purchased the old
MeFayden building on Second street
and is having it moved to his place of
business on Uroad street.
The M. E. Church presents a very
neat appearance. If a few more build
in the town were painted it would
uuike the city much more attractive.
James Kivelehen came up from Mi-
ami, Tex., on Saturday to visit a few
days with his schoolmate, May burn
Howard, then attend the Normal
school,
Honry Hagen and family went to
Norman Monday, where they expect
to make their future home. The citi-
zens of Edmond regret to see Mr. Ha-
gen move away, but wish him all suc-
cess in bis now home.
The ladies of the M. lis Church,
South, gave a lawn social 011 Tuesday
night. A most enjoyable time was
had by those present, and a handsome
sum was realized for the worthy object
for which the social was given.

Pilgrim's Progress, illustrated by a
magic lantern. It was delivered to a
small but appreciative crowd.
The Executive Committee of the
Canadian County O. E. I'nion met at
Mathewson Sunday and prepared the
program for the coming convention to
be held at Racine school house Oct. 8
and 9.
