was the rccipiant of a handsome bo-
quet, it camo from Oklahoma City,
and was the gift of admirers that are
opposed to locating a saloon at the
corner of Broad and Second St.
It is with regret that we announce
that James Brown was taken suddenly
ill on Monday night last. We are
glad to state that he has so far recov-
ered as to be able to be at his place of
business.

Rev. Sheldon was pastor of tho
Presbyterian church in this city dur-
ing the years 1891-2. Ho leave a de-
voted wife and four children, Mrs.
Wade, of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. J. G. Mc
Intyre, of Atlanta, Ga., Ed. Sheldon,
Beuna Valley, Idaho and Dr. Sheldon,
of this city, to mourn his loss.
During the time he labored in Ed-
mond, he was a favorite with all class-
es, the news of his death will be re-
ceived with profound regret by his
many friends.
