The Elliston Grocery Company and

O. J. Alexander has purchased the
entire plant of the Majestic Theatre,
at Quinton, and will have the manage
ment of the theatre hereafter.
Hill & Dalton, of Dilworth, will in-
stall a vulcanizing plant at Quinton,
in connection with the Williams Ga-
rape.
Earl Ross and family have removed
from Kinta to Quinton, where Mr.
Ross has purchased an interest in the
Williams Garage.
The two new store buildings of R.
V. Echols and A. B. Mills, at Stuart,
will soon be completed.
Dave Lawrence, aged 56 years, a
well known Indian citizen of Legal,
12 miles south of Stuart, died last
week. Burial was at the cemetery at
Legal.
Stuart has organized a baseball
club, with E.T. Burnett manager,
Dewey Harmon assistant manager;
Claud Worel captain, and proposes to
meet all comers, not excluding the
maior leaguers, if they want to risk
their luck against Stuart.
J. A. Carter, former Calvin drug-
gist, has bought the J. C. Holman
home at Stuart and will remove to
Stuart. Mr. Holman will build a mod-
ern residence in Stuart, as a home.
Considerable street imnrovement is
being done at Stuart, under the active
eye of Street Commissioner J. J. El-
wood. Citizens have contributed over
$400 toward street improvements.
Bennet Smith, aged 74 years, father
of J. H. Smith, a merchant of Dustin,
died last week at his home in Dustin.
