An Enterprise representative,
making a tour of the city this
weeks, saw from one point eight
new residences in varied states of
construction. Some were practi-
cally completed, while others
showed just the frame work. This
shows how Edmond is improving.
New roofs are to be seen in every
part of the city.

J. V. Hogan of rural route No.
1, was a pleasant caller at this
office last Saturday, gave us a dol-
lar and had his subscription ex-
tended a year. Mr. llo^aii is well
known throughout this suction of
the country, and is one of our lead-
ing farmers.
We have copies each week of
the Britton North Star and the
Arcadia News, both new papers,
full of live, local news of their re-
spective localities and you are wel-
come to call and look them over.
The use of the "split log" on
our streets would he very bene-
ficial at this time. "The "split
log," or one of its many adop-
tions. has been one of the wonder-
ful innovations of the past few
years. A less expensive street
worker, or one that would do more
good, could hardly he devised.
