Wedding Bells.
On Wednesday evening at the home
of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs.
J C McCain occurred the marriage
of their daughter, Clara, to Oscar Pe-
terson
Promptly at 7:30 o'clock the bridal
party entered the parlor to the strains
of an appropriate weeding march, rend-
ered by Mrs. Crawley, the ceremony
was preformed by Rev. E. O. Van
Bibber of the Hopewell Baptist church,
in the presence of thirty five guests.
The bride was handsomely attired
in a cream colored net waist and mo-
hair skirt, the groom wore convention-
al black. Miss Inez Tunehill brides
maid wore a white mohair gown
trimmed in blue ribbon. Carl McCain

After the ceremony the guests were life,
invited Into the dining room where
delicious refreshments were served
Miss Lillie McCain, sister of the
bride, was the fortunate one in secur
ing the piece of bride's cake containing
the ring.
Many beautiful and costly gifts were
' presented Mr. and Mrs. Peterson,
w lich attest the popularity of the
young couple
Mr. and Mrs. Peterson need little
Introduction as they are both well
known I n this part of the country.
Mrs. Peterson i3 a member of the
Hopewell Baptist church and a very
consistant worker In the B. Y. P. U
of that place.
The writer joins with the many
friends in wishing them a happy voy-
age through life.

On Thursday morning at 10 o clock
at the residence of N. B. VanBibber
occurred the marriage of Mr. Jess
Wright of Piedmont and Miss Mary
Chrlstner of Lockridge in the pres
of a few friends. Best bride's maid
and groom were Miss Kate Christner
and Mr. J. 0. Miller of Hydro.
The solemn words that made them
one for ever were said by Rev. E. 0
VanBibber.
After the ceremony the young
couple drove over to uncle Jacob Pritz.
grandfather of the bride, where dinner
was served.
